Auch firefox 2 gibt es im repository &#8211; installiert wird es nur auf anfrage!<\/p>\n<p>Es w\u00e4re alles &#8222;cacy&#8220; (wie das Polen zu Kindern sagen), wenn nicht die add-ons, die einfach die Zusammenarbeit verweigern. Eine Installation endet meist mit der aussagekr\u00e4ftigen Nachricht:<\/p>\n<p>&#8222;installLocation has no properties<br \/>\nfile:\/\/\/usr\/lib\/firefox\/components\/nsExtensionManager.js line: 3849.&#8220;<\/p>\n<p>Was kann man da tun?<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Wenn man in kauf nehmen kann, dass FF3 nicht synchron mit FF2 l\u00e4uft (Passw\u00f6rter und Einstellungen werden getrennt verwaltet), gibt es da schon eine L\u00f6sung&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Man schlie\u00dft alle Firefox-Fenster und schafft mit &#8222;firefox -ProfileManager&#8220; einfach ein zus\u00e4tzliches Profil und benennt es &#8222;FF3&#8220;. Danach wieder alle FF-Fenster (und -T\u00fcre) schlie\u00dfen!<\/p>\n<p>Jetzt mit &#8222;sudo su&#8220; einmal wichtig tun&#8230; Mit &#8222;cd \/usr\/bin\/&#8220; zum &#8222;heiligen Ort&#8220; eines Linux-System gelangen. Jetzt kann man sch\u00f6n den Admin raush\u00e4ngen lassen:<\/p>\n<p>&#8222;mv firefox-3.0 firefox-3.0.orig&#8220;<\/p>\n<p>&#8222;rm firefox&#8220; (ist ja nur ein Symlink)<\/p>\n<p>echo -e &#8218;#!\/bin\/bash &#8218;&#8220;n\/usr\/bin\/firefox-2 -P default&#8220; &gt; firefox<\/p>\n<p>(sollte das Profil von FF2 anders hei\u00dfen als default -&gt; Namen anpassen)<\/p>\n<p>&#8222;chmod 755 firefox&#8220;<\/p>\n<p>Und jetzt der neue:<\/p>\n<p>echo -e &#8218;#!\/bin\/bash #&#8220;n\/usr\/bin\/firefox-3.0.orig -P FF3&#8243; &gt; firefox-3<\/p>\n<p>(FF3 &#8211; weil so hie\u00df unser Profil, den wir selber erstellt haben)<\/p>\n<p>mit &#8222;chmod 755 firefox-3&#8220; wird auch dieser ausf\u00fchrbar&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Jetzt startet per default FF2. Gibt es weiterhin Probleme, so muss man im Profile &#8222;default&#8220; in ~\/.mozilla\/firefox\/_zufalls_hash_.default Alles, was &#8222;extensions*&#8220; hei\u00dft l\u00f6schen (oder besser verschieben nach &#8222;extensions*.old&#8220; = umbennenen mit z.B.: &#8222;for i in $(ls extension*); do mv $i $i.old; done&#8220;).<\/p>\n<p>Diese L\u00f6sung \u00fcberlebt aber leider nur bis zum n\u00e4chsten upgrade\/update der firefox-Packete.
