Es w\u00e4re alles „cacy“ (wie das Polen zu Kindern sagen), wenn nicht die add-ons, die einfach die Zusammenarbeit verweigern. Eine Installation endet meist mit der aussagekr\u00e4ftigen Nachricht:<\/p>\n

Wenn man in kauf nehmen kann, dass FF3 nicht synchron mit FF2 l\u00e4uft (Passw\u00f6rter und Einstellungen werden getrennt verwaltet), gibt es da schon eine L\u00f6sung…<\/p>\n
Man schlie\u00dft alle Firefox-Fenster und schafft mit „firefox -ProfileManager“ einfach ein zus\u00e4tzliches Profil und benennt es „FF3“. Danach wieder alle FF-Fenster (und -T\u00fcre) schlie\u00dfen!<\/p>\n
Jetzt mit „sudo su“ einmal wichtig tun… Mit „cd \/usr\/bin\/“ zum „heiligen Ort“ eines Linux-System gelangen. Jetzt kann man sch\u00f6n den Admin raush\u00e4ngen lassen:<\/p>\n
„mv firefox-3.0 firefox-3.0.orig“<\/p>\n
„rm firefox“ (ist ja nur ein Symlink)<\/p>\n
echo -e ‚#!\/bin\/bash ‚“n\/usr\/bin\/firefox-2 -P default“ > firefox<\/p>\n
(sollte das Profil von FF2 anders hei\u00dfen als default -> Namen anpassen)<\/p>\n
„chmod 755 firefox“<\/p>\n
Und jetzt der neue:<\/p>\n
echo -e ‚#!\/bin\/bash #“n\/usr\/bin\/firefox-3.0.orig -P FF3″ > firefox-3<\/p>\n
(FF3 – weil so hie\u00df unser Profil, den wir selber erstellt haben)<\/p>\n
mit „chmod 755 firefox-3“ wird auch dieser ausf\u00fchrbar…<\/p>\n
Jetzt startet per default FF2. Gibt es weiterhin Probleme, so muss man im Profile „default“ in ~\/.mozilla\/firefox\/_zufalls_hash_.default Alles, was „extensions*“ hei\u00dft l\u00f6schen (oder besser verschieben nach „extensions*.old“ = umbennenen mit z.B.: „for i in $(ls extension*); do mv $i $i.old; done“).<\/p>\n
Diese L\u00f6sung \u00fcberlebt aber leider nur bis zum n\u00e4chsten upgrade\/update der firefox-Packete. Also immer daran denken, diese L\u00f6sung w\u00e4rt nicht ewig!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
